Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza launched a total of six trim levels in 2016 namely Ldi, Ldi(O), Vdi, Vdi(O), Zdi and Zdi+. The sub-compact SUV was powered by a 1.3-liter four-cylinder DDiS 200 diesel engine that produced 89 bhp max power and 200 Nm torque with the motor mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. With the driver-side airbag being standard on all variants, the Ldi and Vdi trims came with the passenger side airbag and ABS with EBD as an option.

It offered an optional AMT on all variants except for the entry-level Ldi trim. This 2018 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is powered by a Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre DDiS turbo diesel engine that produced 89 bhp max power and 200 Nm peak torque. The Zdi and Zdi+ trim to get the black alloys instead of gunmetal grey.

The addition of new safety features resulted in the price hike. With Ldi variant costing Rs 12,500 more, the Vdi and Zdi variant cost Rs 8500 and Rs 5500 more respectively. The addition of AMT resulted in the price increase by Rs 40000-Rs 50000.
