All-New Maruti Suzuki Vitara Breeza bookings have crossed 21,500 mark since its launch a couple of months ago.

The automotive industry in 2020 is facing the twin challenges of BS6 norms adoption and Coronavirus pandemic. The automotive manufacturers had to launch BS6 compliant vehicles with the deadline looming closer while clearing their existing BS4 inventory. Just as they were dealing with the BS6 upgrade, Coronavirus pandemic swept across India leading to the temporary closure of dealerships. Despite the challenges, Maruti Suzuki has received a good response to the 2020 Vitara Brezza facelift. The new BS6 compliant SUV, now available only in petrol fuel trim, has received 21,000+ booking requests so far since its launch in February 2020. Maruti Vitara Brezza BS6 bookings had commenced post the showcasing at the Auto Expo 2020 while it went on sale at the authorized Maruti Suzuki dealerships from February, 24 onwards.

The new 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza price started at Rs 7.35 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi). It sets you back by Rs. 11.40 Lakhs if you opt for the top-end variant. The company has discontinued the diesel variants already. The facelifted SUV is only available in petrol fuel trim with a BS6 compliant petrol engine.

The 2020 Vitara Brezza Facelift is powered by the K15B 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine with the SmartHybrid technology. The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard while the 4-speed automatic torque converter unit is available as optional. The engine delivers 103bhp of maximum power and 138Nm of peak torque. One point to note is that SmartHybrid technology will come only with the automatic variant of the SUV. It will return an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 17.03kmpl with the manual gearbox and 18.76kmpl with the automatic transmission. The Maruti Vitara Breeza fuel tank capacity is 48 litres.

Key Safety features are dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) among others. All-New Maruti Vitara Brezza is offered in 9 different colour options. It competes against Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford Ecosport in the sub-compact SUV segment.
