The brand has teamed up with Japanese startup SkyDrive to produce the 'Skycar', which is a multi-rotor aircraft that will be utilized as a flying car in India.

Maruti Suzuki has showcased a flying car concept at the Vibrant Gujarat event, hinting that it is planning to launch a flying vehicle service alongside the vehicle in the Indian market. The automaker took the platform of Vibrant Gujarat to unveil its revamped prototype of the eVX concept along with the all-new flying car. Maruti first unveiled the eVX prototype at the Auto Expo 2023 and later at the Japan Mobility Show in the later months of 2023.

The company has teamed up with Japanese startup SkyDrive to produce the 'Skycar', which is a multi-rotor aircraft that will be utilized as a flying car in India. By teaming up with SkyDrive, the brand is aiming to launch a flying car service in India. The new Skycar concept envisions an electric flying cab service for cities where it is difficult to build airports. The prototype showcased at Vibrant Gujarat can take off and land on building roofs.

The eVX is the company’s all-electric SUV that is likely to launch sometime in 2024. The revamped concept gets a host of significant updates. The production-spec model will be the same size as the Grand Vitara, which measures 4,300 mm in length. The new concept also provides hints that the SUV is getting closer to the manufacturing process and will have the same design as the original version.

The all-new eVX is Maruti’s first-ever electric car, and it will be beneficial to the brand's overarching product plan. The SUV will get a 60-kWh lithium-ion battery set that enables the car to go about 550 kilometers on a single charge.

The eVX will be getting a new EV architecture, which will provide the car with a wheelbase of around 2,700 mm, ensuring more space inside the cabin. This SUV is likely to be the most spacious SUV in Maruti Suzuki’s line-up. The brand will unveil the car with a new nomenclature.
