Maruti Suzuki has recalled the Baleno for ABS software issue

The Maruti Baleno is one of the most hottest selling hatchbacks in the Indian market. Recently Maruti Suzuki launched a facelift of the premium hatchback too that received mild visual updates, new features and more safety equipment to meet the new safety norms of the government. Recently, a batch of Baleno has been recalled for updating the ABS software.

Maruti Suzuki has announced a service campaign for the Baleno hatchback to inspect and update the modified software for the ABS actuator assembly in the car. According to the carmaker, 3,757 units of the Baleno that were manufactured between December 6, 2018 and February 4, 2019 will be inspected as part of this recall campaign.

From February 21, 2019 onwards, the owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki dealers. The software will be updated and cars will be inspected free of cost. Those who think their car is affected can log on to the official website of Maruti Suzuki and enter their VIN number to check.
