Mahindra & Mahindra made an announcement that the XUV700 has registered 65000 bookings in two weeks. The deliveries for the petrol variants will begin from October 30 onwards. While that of diesel variants, it will commence in the last week of November. The automaker commenced the first phase of bookings for the SUV on October 7, 2021. Within an hour, the bookings reached the 25000 mark. Following this, the company revised the introductory prices for the next 25000 bookings which were achieved within two hours on October 8.
Mahindra XUV700 has received an overwhelming response since its launch. The automaker has partnered with one of the top 3 global consulting companies with an aim to devise and implement algorithm-based processes to deliver vehicles at the earliest. Having said this, the delivery timelines will be communicated to the customers by their respective dealerships from October 27 onwards for both petrol and diesel variants. As for now, bookings are open for the customers either via the online platform or through the nearest dealership.
Mahindra XUV700 is available in a total of four variants namely MX, AX3, AX5, and AX7. The SUV is offered in both five and seven-seat layouts. Design bits include LED projector headlights, C-shaped LED DRLs, sporty alloys, LED tail lights, among many others. Performance-wise, the new XUV700 gets two engine options. The 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol unit churns out a top power of 197 bhp and a peak torque of 380 Nm. The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, on the other hand, generates 182 bhp power. Talking about the peak torque, the XUV700 dishes out 420 Nm with a manual gearbox and 450 Nm with an automatic gearbox. Both engines can be availed of either with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
