  • Mahindra XUV700 price could be in the range of Rs 17-22 Lakhs

Mahindra XUV700 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated SUVs launching this year in the Indian market. The company has been teasing the SUV for quite a long time through images and videos. Recently, a mysterious poster was spotted at Mahindra's Chakan facility near Pune which indicated that the XUV700 will enter production exactly a month from today. We have learnt that the Mahindra XUV700 will be launched in October during festive season, so start of production by late July or August first week makes a lot of sense to build up the inventory beforehand to avoid long and rising waiting periods.

The poster put up at Mahindra's Chakan facility reads, "The Future is Here…. And I am Proud to be a Part of it..." while at the bottom it says that 31 days to go before the production finally commences. The poster appears to be for the people involved with the manufacturing process of XUV700 at the production facility. Based on the W601 monocoque architecture, Mahindra XUV700 is touted as the successor to the brand's current flagship model, the XUV500, in the Indian market. It will debut several first-in-segment features such as Auto Booster Headlamps, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Panoramic sunroof, all-digital instrument cluster, and a massive touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

It is being speculated that Mahindra will introduce the XUV700 in both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations. The diesel variants will have a more powerful version of the 2.2L mHawk engine at the helm with increased power output and torque performance. It will be paired with both manual and automatic gearboxes. The petrol variants will draw power from the 2.0L turbocharged engine. They will also be available with a choice of manual as well as automatic transmissions. The range-topping variants in both petrol and diesel fuel trims will get an all-wheel-drive system as optional. Mahindra XUV700 price could be in the range of Rs 17-22 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) while it will rival Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar in India.
