Mahindra XUV700 price in India will start from Rs 16 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom)

Mahindra & Mahindra had revealed the name of its upcoming 7-seater SUV as the XUV700 a few weeks back. Now, the all-new Mahindra XUV700 has been listed on the official company website ahead of its planned launch in the Q2 of FY2022. It will be the Mumbai-based brand's new flagship product as it will replace the XUV500 in the Indian market. Being based on a monocoque platform and codenamed as W601, Mahindra XUV700 will debut first-in-segment Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) as confirmed through the various spy-shots.

The official Mahindra website has a dedicated page for the XUV700 where people can see the name announcement video released earlier this month. In addition, there is a 'Keep Me Updated' section which will alert the interested buyers about the launch date, test drives and product details. Needless to say, the all-new Mahindra XUV700 will be longer and wider than the XUV500. The SUV will flaunt C-shaped LED DRLs and a bigger signature Mahindra radiator grille with seven-slats upfront. The side profile will feature first-in-class flush-fitting door handles while there will be plastic cladding all around. The rear end has been thoroughly redesigned with a new LED tail-lamp cluster and bumper.

The interior cabin is all-new and has taken a radical departure from the current lot of Mahindra SUVs. The cabin will boast of a couple of massive screens for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. However, the biggest talking point is the introduction of Level 1 autonomous driving technology which comprises features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning and parallel park assist. Mechanically, it will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines. There will be an all-new 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2L mHawk diesel engine. There will be manual and automatic transmission options available with both petrol and diesel engines while an all-wheel-drive system will be offered as standard.
