Mahindra took the wraps off the XUV300 Sportz T-GDI at the Auto Expo 2020. All set to launch in mid-2020, this sub-4 meter SUV comes with additional cosmetic bits and a powerful BS 6 compliant engine. It is powered by a new turbocharged petrol motor called mStallion. According to a media report, it is expected to be priced more than the current XUV300 petrol’s top-spec model that is priced at 11.84 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
This BS 6 model is offered with a 1.2L turbo petrol unit that outputs 130 bhp max power at 5000 rpm and 230 Nm peak torque between 1500-3750 rpm, almost 20 bhp and 30 Nm more than the current XUV300 petrol variant. The engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
In terms of cosmetic updates, it largely remains identical to the existing model except for a few changes. This SUV flaunts sports graphic on the bonnet and the door panels. The all-four disc brakes come fitted with red brake calipers. It also boasts of an all-black interior scheme with contrasting red accents. A dash of red elements on the steering wheel, central console, and AC vents surrounds is also expected to be seen.
