Mahindra XUV300 is about to launch next month and the Indian carmaker has commenced the bookings of the same starting today. The new compact SUV from Mahindra will be a premium offering competing with cars in the range of Rs. 8-12 lakhs (ex-showroom). It will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options in India.
The XUV300 will come feature packed with some unique offering in the segment such as 7 airbags, dual-zone automatic climate control system and front parking sensors. Such features were never offered in this segment and in some cases a couple of segments above. Mahindra will be offering the XUV300 in four variants - W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O).
Powering the Mahindra XUV300 is a 1.5-litre diesel engine that will produce 300 Nm of torque while the 1.2-litre petrol engine will generate 200 Nm of torque, both of which are quite impressive. The XUV300 is based on the SsangYong Tivoli and we expect the compact SUV to get high quality materials and good fit and finish.
