SUV leader, Mahindra launched the facelift Scorpio a year ago and this time the company has launched the S9 variant of the Scorpio. The S9 variant is packed to the brim with features but mechanically stays the same and Mahindra has managed to price it competitively.

The S9 trim of Scorpio gets static-bending projector headlamps, LED light guides, micro-hybrid technology, anti-roll technology and hydraulic assist bonnet. The centre console houses a 6-inch touchscreen infotainment system which comes with voice command assist and GPS navigation.

On the safety front, the car has dual-front airbags, ABS, Anti-theft warning, panic brake indication and engine immobiliser. The intellipark system and cruise control are some of the driver comfort features of the SUV.

There are no mechanical changes in the Scorpio S9 trim. The SUV is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 140 BHP and 320 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Mahindra Scorpio directly competes with Tata Safari Storme. Mahindra has priced the Scorpio S9 at Rs. 13.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
