The drop-top SUV is based on the TUV300 platform.

Mahindra has taken the wraps off its Stinger convertible SUV concept at the Auto Expo 2018. The SUV is under four metres long and is based on the TUV300 platform, which you can see from the design. It has LED headlamps and that familiar Mahindra grille. You also get a spare tyre that’s mounted at the back of the Stinger behind the rear seats.

This two-door SUV features a 2+2 seating layout, but the back is quite cramped. On the inside, there’s a large touchscreen infotainment system that’s on the middle of the dash. There are off-road modes that you can toggle to with a dial.

The car could use the TUVs 1.5-litre, three-cylinder mHawk diesel engine, which makes 101hp and 240Nm. Mahindra will first gauge the response from the audience and will decide whether or not to take this car to production.
