Mahindra Marazzo launched, priced from Rs. 9.99 lakhs

Mahindra adds one more vehicle to its robust UV stable. This time it's in the form of an MPV called Marazzo. The design is shark inspired and it has gained a lot of attention. Marazzo will go head to head mainly with the Maruti Ertiga, Honda BR-V and Renault Lodgy.

Mahindra Marazzo is launched with four variants with only a single engine option across the range. The engine offered in the Marazzo is a 1.5-litre diesel unit producing 123 PS at 3500 RPM and 300 Nm of peak torque at 1600 RPM. However, the Marazzo is currently available with only a manual transmission while the automatic is planned after the BS6 emission norms are introduced.

The base spec M2 has fabric seat covers, manual controls for AC and ORVMs. It also misses out on wheel caps. The M2 variant seems to be aimed at commercial cab fleet owners. The M4 variant gets the same fabric upholstered seats from M2 and some additional features like USB and Aux connectivity, electric controls for ORVMs, rear wiper, wheel caps and height adjustable driver seat.

The M6 variant comes with alloy wheels, 7-inch touch infotainment system with haptic feedback on the centre console and on the interiors, it gets some wooden inserts and better quality fabric seat covers for a premium feel. On the exterior front, it gets projector lamps, fog lamps and cornering lamps. The M6 variant also includes keyless entry and parking sensors. Top of the line M8 variant gets LED daytime running lights, automatic climate control, electronically adjustable ORVMs and auto retract feature. The 7-inch infotainment in M8 variant also supports Android Auto. Inside of the glove box is cooled and illuminated. Cruise control and reverse camera are also provided as comfort features.

The wheels on M8 variant are 17-inch alloys but the other three variants sit on 16-inch wheels. However, dual front airbags, ISOFIX child mounts and speed sensitive door locking are standard across the range.
