The car is powered by a 2.2-litre 120hp diesel mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

Mahindar has finally officially launched the TUV300 Plus and it costs Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Essentially a stretched version of the TUV300 sub-four-meter compact SUV, it’s identical right up to the stretched rear section.

The car uses a 120hp 2.2-litre diesel engine that makes 280Nm and channels power via a six-speed manual instead of the five-speed unit that the standard TUV300 gets. It is fitted with a 60-litre fuel tank, weighs 2,410kg and employs Mahindra’s fuel-saving Micro Hybrid tech. The car is 401mm longer than the standard model, but it has the same wheelbase.

Equipment is minimal – you get vinyl seat upholstery, all-black interiors, a nine-seater configuration with fold-up side-facing third row seats, power steering with tilt, four power windows, central locking, an AC with a heater, internally adjustable wing mirrors and two 12V charging sockets. There are four colour options available as well.

For now, the car is available in one variant but there is talk that there may be more added soon.
