Mahindra launches the "Own Online" digital platform; rolls out the doorstep service option.

With the auto industry going digital due to the coronavirus lockdown, Mahindra & Mahindra has launched an online sales platform known as “Own Online” recently. This platform enables the customers to purchase any of its vehicles without physically visiting a dealership. Under this new initiative, the customers can finance, insure, exchange, accessorize, and then own a Mahindra vehicle after completing the entire process online.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s Pan-India network of 270+ dealers and 900+ touchpoints is integrated with the Own Online platform. The buyers will have to visit the official website of the company in order to purchase the vehicle. After logging on the website, the buyers will have to go through four simple steps in order to complete the whole process.

Step 1: Explore Mahindra’s wide range of SUVs and personalize as per your taste.

Step 2: Select the dealer of your choice and get an instant, real-time quotation for your old car.

Step 3: Make a choice from multiple finance and insurance options and get online approval.

Step 4: Make payment and get the ‘contactless’ delivery at the preferred location.

Mahindra’s product and process experts will always be available via video chat or text messages to provide any assistance regarding the Own Online process. Mahindra claims that Own-Online is the only mass-market digital sales platform that gives customers on-road prices of the cars, including the breakdown of all the components – such as registration, road taxes, and insurance, as well as benefits like discounts and offers.

The home-grown automaker has made sure that the product is delivered at the customer’s doorstep. Trained mechanics will be sent to the customer’s address to carry out the full basic service. Dealerships have also upgraded their procedures and have been trained to minimize physical contact. Apart from this, the company is also taking additional precautions across the customer interaction process such as test drives, document collection, and vehicle delivery to ensure that high hygiene standards are maintained.
