The customized Mahindra Bolero fitted with a portable toilet is one-of-its-type vehicle.

Indians are well-known for their innovative methods to solve their problems. One example of such Indian presence of mind and inventive thought process is a customized Mahindra Bolero. What’s so special about the Mahindra Bolero that we are talking about? Well, Ojes Automobiles from Kerala has added a portable toilet in the SUV. With the Coronavirus pandemic hitting the peak with cases piling up, travelling is now a distant thought as people have apprehensions regarding the use of a public toilet. For travelling, long distances can be hazardous in the current situation with public toilets to be avoided as of now. The customized Mahindra Bolero with a portable toilet would appeal to many Indians who wish to step outside of their comfort but are fearful of the current environment.

The automobile designers from Kerala removed the rear seats in order to fit in the toilet seat. The portable toilet seat is fitted sideways but it reduces the passenger capacity while the boot space is gone completely. The best thing about the customization is that the vehicle owner can refit the seats when they wish to. The portable toilet is a flush based system which can be used with just a touch. The flush is powered by a 12V motor which in turn draws the power from the Bolero battery. The flush system comprises of two aluminium tanks, one freshwater tank and one to carry away the wastewater.

The durability of the tanks for years is confirmed as it’s made of GRP coated Aluminium and the tank is quite similar to the vacuum toilets one encounters on flights. It has ample space for housing soap, towels and hand sanitizer. The portable toilet is priced around Rs 65,000. To maintain privacy, last row windows are draped with opaque curtains. Ojes Automobiles might have fitted the portable toilet on the Mahindra Bolero but it can be done on any car that measures 40 inches from floor to roof.

Ojes Automobiles are something of an expert relating to the customization of vehicles considering their clientele includes Superstars of Malayalam Cinema like Mammootty and Prithviraj. Ambulances, ATM vans, vanity vans, Caravan modification, coach building are some of the work Ojes Automobiles does on a regular basis. The USP of Ojes Automobiles is that their customizations are done without affecting the basic structure which is an art in itself. Anand Mahindra himself showered praise on the customized Mahindra Bolero.

Mahindra recently launched the BS6 Bolero Facelift in the Indian market. The base model price begins from Rs 7.76 Lakhs (Ex-showroom India) with the top-end variant will set you back by Rs 8.78 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, India).
