The Mahindra Alturas G4 has become popular in India, it has got 1000 bookings since launch

Mahindra made a bold move by introducing the Alturas G4 in the Indian market. It is essentially a rebadged new generation Rexton from SsangYong. Mahindra has made tweaks to the car and has introduced it in India competing against the Ford Endeavour and the Toyota Fortuner. The Indian carmaker has now managed to get 1000 bookings for their new premium SUV.

A product upwards of Rs. 25 lakhs from an Indian carmaker like Mahindra was a big move but it now seems like a clever move as Mahindra is quite satisfied getting 1000 bookings in the market where players like Ford and Toyota are ruling the roost in the segment. It is the UV maker's most expensive offering yet.

The Mahindra Alturas G4 is available in two variants - 2WD and 4WD. The car comes with premium features on offer and in some cases offers more than its rivals. Mahindra is getting aggressive with its product launches of late. The Marazzo was a big success and now people are waiting for the new XUV300 which has got some segment leading features.
