Lexus ES Facelift gets subtle exterior and interior changes

Lexus has launched the updated version of its luxury sedan ES at a starting price of Rs 56.65 lakhs (ex-showroom). The price goes as high as Rs 61.85 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end Luxury variant. The 2021 ES gets subtle cosmetic updates along with more equipment. It is also priced Rs 10,000 more than the outgoing model. It is offered in a total of two variants namely Exquisite and Luxury.



Lexus ES Facelift: Design & Color Options

In terms of design, the overall silhouette of the Lexus ES facelift remains unchanged. However, it gets minor changes. The model comes with the signature spindle grille upfront. In addition, it features tweaked LED headlamps and a new set of alloy wheels. Talking about the color options, the updated model is offered in Sonic Chrome and Sonic Iridium paint shade. 



Lexus ES Facelift: Features


Moving inside the cabin of the Lexus ES facelift, it gets minor changes. It now boasts of the new walnut material upholstery. The 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit is now positioned a bit closer to the occupants. It is further compatible with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. Other feature highlights include power recline rear seats, three-zone climate control, a 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, a sunroof, powered front seats with memory, head-up display, hands-free boot lid opening among many others. 



Lexus ES Facelift: Engine Specifications & Rivals

Performance-wise, the Lexus ES facelift is powered by a 2.5-litre, four cylinder petrol engine that is paired with a 16 kWh battery pack. The whole powertrain setup produces a top power of 215 bhp and a peak torque of 221 Nm. Transmission duty is handled by a CVT gearbox. Besides this, the car comes with a front wheel drive system. Furthermore, the updated ES will rival the likes of Mercedes Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, and Audi A6.
