The 530hp hot SUV, which is due in 2018, will rival the likes of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

The carmaker will introduce a more powerful GTS-spec version of its Levante SUV that will use a Ferrari-made, 3.8-litre, twin-turbo V8 motor. The Quattroporte GTS also shares this engine and this will bring the Levante GTS in direct competition with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the upcoming Range Rover Velar SVR. The car will feature bespoke chassis settings and the air suspension will be tuned to improve body control.

The car will sport GTS badges inside and out, larger alloy wheels, more aggressive bumpers and carbon-fibre trim on the inside. Maserati will launch this car sometime next year.
