Lamborghini, a leading Italian car manufacturer, has rolled out the all-new Urus SE PHEV in India at an ex-showroom price of INR 4.57 crore (ex-showroom). The Urus SE marks Lamborghini’s entry into the plug-in hybrid super SUV segment. It has replaced the Urus S and Performance variants from the brand’s lineup. Interested buyers can reserve the new plug-in hybrid super SUV from any Lamborghini authorized showroom across India. Deliveries are expected to start in the latter half of this year.
The Urus SUV is the brand’s best-selling product in India. The company has sold a total of 103 units of the Urus in India so far. The Lamborghini Urus SE was first unveiled globally earlier this year, and it is the company’s second hybrid model overseas. Apart from the new hybrid powertrain, the Urus SE also gets several exterior and interior design upgrades. Customers can select from a range of over 100 colors, incorporating two new shades: Arancio Egon and Bianco Sapphirus.

Visually, the Urus SE resembles the previous model, but it also gets a newly designed bonnet, a new grille, sleeker LED headlights, and DRLs. The car's hood has a floating design in place of the vented versions we have seen on the previous model. At the rear, the electric car features a new spoiler, Y-shaped tail lamps, and a diffuser. With 15 percent better aerodynamics, the Urus SE generates 35 percent more downforce. The Urus SE rolls on new 23-inch alloy wheels covered with Pirelli P Zero tyres.
The Lamborghini Urus SE houses a redesigned front dashboard, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen with intuitive graphics and controls, updated air vents, anodized aluminum accents, and more. Powering the new Urus plug-in hybrid SUV is a 4.0-litre V8 engine that churns out power of 620 hp and peak torque of 800 Nm. The engine has been tweaked to be mated to the plug-in hybrid system that features a 25.9-kWh lithium-ion battery set. It is paired with an 8-speed torque converter AT gearbox. The V8 engine and electric motor generate a combined output of 800 hp and peak torque of 950 Nm.
With a top speed of 312 km/h, the Lamborghini Urus SE can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds. Aside from the existing six drive modes: Sport, Strada, Corsa, Neve, Terra, and Sabbia, the Urus SE SUV receives four additional modes: Hybrid, EV Drive, Performance, and Recharge. According to the company, the new performance mode can be used for both off-road and on-road driving conditions. In the Indian market, the Urus SE plug-in hybrid version rivals the likes of the Audi RSQ8, Mercedes-Benz G-Class, and Bentley Bentayga.
