Elantra-sized executive sedan; Powered by a 1.6-litre, 130hp, petrol engine.

Korean carmaker Kia's massive display at Auto Expo is meant to be show of strength of its credentials and capabilities as a global automobile manufacturer before debuts in the Indian car market sometime next year. Proof of this comes in the wide range of models on display here. And among them is the Cerato Executive Sedan

Already on sale in markets around the world, the Cerato is a Elantra–sized executive sedan measuring just over 4.5 meters in length. Although it has platform commonalities with its cousin the Elantra, the design is completely Kia and exhibits design cues synonymous with the brand.

The Cerato packs in a lot of tech and equipment like heated and cooled front seats, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and safety features including a blind spot detection system.

And while the on display here is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol motor that makes 130hp and 157Nm of peak torque, internationally, the Cerato comes with a range of power plants with options for both petrol and diesel. Kia, however, is unlikely to bring the Cerato to Indian showrooms anytime soon given lagging sales in the executive sedan segment.
