7114 units of Kia Seltos were sold while 161 units of Carnival MPV were retailed last month.

Kia Motors India sold a total of 7275 units in the June 2020 monthly sales in the country. The South-Korean automaker sold 7114 units of Seltos SUV while 161 units of Carnival MPV were also retailed last month. The company finished at the fifth position in the June 2020 sales behind Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra. Kia Seltos was launched in August 2019 in a price range of Rs 9.89-17.34 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) while it takes on the likes of Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks.

Recently, Kia Motors introduced the 2020 Seltos SUV in the Indian market with a total of 10 new features. As many as eight features, which were only available with the range-topping grades, were made standard across the entire range of Seltos. It now comes with a total of seven trim levels and three BS6 compliant engine options while boasting of more than 50 UVO connected car features. The engine options for the SUV include a 1.5L petrol, a 1.5L diesel and a 1.4L turbocharged petrol unit. The transmissions available are a 6-speed manual as standard while automatic ones include a CVT unit, a 6-speed torque converter unit and a 7-speed DCT automatic unit. Kia Seltos is developed at the company's production facility in Ananthpur, Andhra Pradesh.

Coming to Kia Carnival, it is available in three variants while priced between Rs 24.95-33.95 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). The MPV is powered by a 2.2L 4-cylinder diesel engine which generates maximum power output of 197bhp and peak torque of 440Nm. The engine is coupled with an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard. The company is planning to introduce its third model - the Sonet SUV - in the Indian market in August 2020. Kia Sonet price is expected to start from Rs 8 Lakhs and go as high as Rs 13 Lakhs (Both the prices are Ex. Showroom) for the top-end variant. It will take on the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300 in India.
