We have been getting minute-by-minute updates about the first vehicle of the South Korean maker Kia’s first vehicle – Seltos SUV – in the Indian market. The launch of the Seltos SUV is slated to take place on 22 August 2019 and ahead of the launch the bookings of the SUV have been opened for the public in official capacity. The response to the SUV has been so good that Kia has managed to snag more than 6,000 bookings for the Seltos in just one single day. The split for the booking stood at 1,628 online bookings and rest from the offline method. The achievement is pretty remarkable for Seltos as no car has ever had such a high booking number on the very first day. What is also remarkable is that a huge chunk of bookings came via the offline method, something that hints at Kia’s strong presence in the market even before the company has launched any vehicle in India. The booking amount for the Seltos SUV is Rs. 25,000, and the deliveries will start on the day of the launch itself.

Manohar Bhat the vice president and head of sales and marketing at Kia Motors India talked about the overwhelming response of the public to the Seltos SUV and stated,
