Kia Seltos Seven-Seater imagined as a bigger SUV; expected to launch in 2021.

Kia Motors is planning to work on a seven-seater Seltos model as its sibling, Hyundai Creta is also expected to get an extended capacity variant soon. The Korean automaker is considering to get the 7-seater version of their popular 5-seater Seltos. It is expected to be launched in the second half of 2021. When launched, the seven-seater Kia Seltos is expected to compete with the likes of the upcoming Tata Gravitas. The pricing is also expected to be aggressive, just like the 5-seater Kia Seltos. Recently, rendered photos of this 7-Seater SUV surfaced online and therefore we have all the details right here for you.


According to the latest digital rendering, Kia Seltos 7-Seater SUV is expected to get an extended rear section. While the wheelbase of the SUV remains unchanged, its length has been increased to accommodate an additional third row of seats. When compared to its 5-seater version, the seven-seater model is expected to get some additional features. As per the rendered images, the 7-seater SUV features a newly-designed radiator grille with chrome treatment, a revised bumper, and updated fog lamps. It also gets a new set of alloy wheels. 


Like the regular Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta, this 7-Seater SUV is also likely to share the same powertrain. Under the hood, it will offer 3 engine options. A 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces around 114 bhp power and 144 Nm of peak torque. While the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol will deliver a power output of 138 bhp with 242 Nm torque. The diesel variant, on the other hand, comes equipped with a 1.5-litre engine that churns out 113 bhp power and 250 Nm peak torque. The 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox along with 6-speed automatic transmission as an option. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol variant features a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT as optional.
