The Trailhawk is the rugged version of the Compass, that’s equipped for more hardcore off-road use.
You get Jeep’s Active Drive Low-range 4WD with a new 'Rock mode' for the Selec-Terrain 4WD system.
There are also a few feature upgrades – it will get a panoramic sunroof as well as cruise control. The
Trailhawk will also feature an all-black cabin theme.
It will go on sale with a diesel automatic engine-gearbox for the first time. The same 2.0-litre diesel unit
is hooked up to a new nine-speed automatic transmission. The car will get reworked bumpers (for
enhanced approach/departure angles), new 17-inch alloy wheels, a dual-tone black and silver exterior
finish, red recovery hooks, a black-painted anti-glare bonnet decal and underbody skid plates. The
Trailhawk’s ground clearance is 20mm higher than the standard Compass as well.
Jeep dealers are accepting bookings for the Compass Trailhawk for an amount of Rs 2.5 lakh. You can
expect a price of around Rs 32 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
