The Meridian SUV will take on the likes of Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Mahindra XUV700 and Skoda Kodiaq in the Indian market

Jeep India has announced the launch of the Meridian 7-seater SUV on May 19, 2022 in the country. The bookings for the 3-row SUV had already begun on May 3 while the deliveries are expected to start from June onwards. Being the brand's first three-row SUV, Jeep Meridian is based on a Unibody architecture while sharing multiple elements with the Compass such as the cabin and engine. The Meridian SUV will take on the likes of Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Mahindra XUV700 and Skoda Kodiaq in the Indian market.


Jeep Meridian flaunts a sleek grille with seven-slats upfront which is complimented by LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights. The rear end boasts of a wraparound LED tail-lamp cluster with a chrome strip in the middle. It will ride on 18-inch alloy wheels while the boot capacity stands at 233 litres which can be further extended upto 1760 litres. The cabin is borrowed from the Compass SUV, barring the panoramic sunroof. The feature list includes dual-zone automatic climate control, powered tailgate, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, 9-speaker audio system by Alpine and 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.
