Keeping in mind the current financial conditions due to the COVID-19, FCA India has rolled out new financial schemes for the buyers. The company is now offering a special finance package under the name ‘Jeep for all’ on the purchase of Jeep Compass. It is the only SUV in its segment with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Jeep Compass base variant costs around Rs 16,49,000 (Ex-Showroom, India). Jeep Wrangler Rubicon price begins from Rs 68.94 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country.
So what does the package offer?
It offers low-interest rates on bank loans and reduced EMIs for salaried customers. For women customers, there is absolutely 100 percent on-road financing plus loan period can be extended up to seven years. Under the scheme, coverage is provided in case the customer loses a job or suffers a critical illness. If a customer wishes to get the Jeep vehicle financed through Bank of Baroda or State Bank of India, an option for 90 percent funding is available. The funding is available on the on-road price of the jeep compass.
FCA resumed its vehicle operations on May 18 due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the country. The production is still happening in phases with limited resources allowed to work at the plants as of now. "This loan will offer them a 3-month low EMI repayment option. Prospects are free to choose any three months in the year to pay lower EMI. This 3-month low EMI arrangement will continue every year throughout the tenure of the loan," the company said in a statement on Tuesday to the media outlets.
Jeep India recently launched an online booking platform for the Indian customers. The interested buyers can not only book their desired Jeep vehicle but also opt for a test drive at the comforts of their home. The company currently offers the Compass, Wrangler, Grand Cherokee and the Cherokee SRT in the Indian market with all of them being BS6 compliant.
Meanwhile, in other news, Jeep Compass facelift will be unveiled at a global online event on June 4, 2020. We can expect the facelifted model to arrive in the Indian market by early 2021 with some minor updates. The new and updated infotainment system named Uconnect will make an appearance with the new SUV. It will come with integrated Amazon Alexa support with support for both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The key rivals of Jeep Compass facelift will be Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and MG Hector.
Post the arrival of Compass facelift, one can expect the launch of a 7-seater SUV code-named ‘Low D 3-row’ which will compete against Hyundai Tucson and Volkswagen Tiguan All-Space.
