Jeep finally unveiled the 2021 Compass Facelift at the 18th Guangzhou Auto Show in China. For a long time, Jeep Compass was due for an update. The facelifted SUV had been spotted multiple times testing on India roads. We can expect it to be launched in India in the first quarter of 2021. Furthermore, the seven-seater SUV gets minor cosmetic tweaks to the interior and exterior. While no changes have been made to the powertrain. Jeep Compass Facelift: Price
2021 Jeep Compass Facelift is likely to be Rs 50,000 costlier than its predecessor considering the feature and design upgrades. We can expect the starting price to be around Rs 17 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Jeep Compass Facelift: Dimensions
In terms of dimensions, the length and height of the upcoming Jeep Compass Facelift has been increased by 29mm and 17mm respectively. While the wheelbase remains unchanged at 2636mm.
Jeep Compass Facelift: Exterior Design
In terms of exterior design, the SUV will feature a seven-slate grille with honeycomb-like chrome inserts. In addition, it also gets new LED headlamps integrated with LED DRLs. Other design bits include square-shaped wheel arches, LED taillights, a new alloy wheel design, and a redesigned front bumper.
Jeep Compass Facelift: Interior Features
Inside the cabin, the 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift gets a new dual-tone dashboard with grey leather upholstery. It comes loaded with a plethora of features. These include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, voice control, and LED ambient lighting. Talking about the India-spec model, it will offer equipment like a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, keyless start, and stop function.
Jeep Compass Facelift: Engine Specifications
Under the bonnet, the upcoming Compass Facelift will offer the same engine options as its predecessor. There will be a 2.0-litre multi-jet diesel engine that generates 170 bhp power and 350 Nm torque. While the 1.4-litre multi-air petrol unit will develop a maximum power output of 160 bhp with 250 Nm Nm of peak torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual gearbox alongside a 7-speed DCT and a 9-speed torque converter as options. Furthermore, the India-spec model might also get an all-new 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
