The Fortuner is the most popular SUV here besides being the default choice in the segment. The brand name Toyota has its own strengths due to the performance and genuine off-road ability delivered by its products. The petrol variants fall in the range of Rs 30.34-31.93 lakh. While the diesel variants are priced in the Rs 32.84-37.79 lakh category (all price, ex-showroom). The Isuzu MU-X has been priced absurdly. The SUV retails between Rs 33.37-35.34 lakhs (ex-showroom). MG, on the other hand, might find it easier to get buyers for the Gloster with its ‘best-in-class’ and ‘segment-first’ phrases being used in the sales pitch. The price range is Rs 29.98-36.08 lakhs(ex-showroom) and it does justice as the Gloster is the largest, comfiest, and the best-equipped SUV here among the three.

In terms of dimensions, all three SUVs are huge. The MG Gloster is the longest, widest, and tallest SUV here. It stands at 4985mm in length, 1926mm in width, and 1867mm in height. The smallest of all here is the Toyota Fortuner. When we mention the term ‘small’ here, it doesn’t mean the tiniest one. The SUV is still a huge one with 4795mm in length, 1855mm in width, and 1835mm in height. The recently launched Isuzu MU-X is 4825mm long, 1860mm wide, and 1860mm tall. Out of the three SUVs, MG Gloster comes with the longest wheelbase at 2950mm.

Toyota Fortuner comes with both petrol and diesel engine options in comparison to the other two SUVs that are equipped with diesel units only. The Fortuner’s engine is the loudest at idle. The gear shifts on the 6-speed gearbox are pretty smooth. When we talk about Gloster, it is the quietest at idle. Its 2.0-litre diesel engines come mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Lastly, Isuzu MU-X comes equipped with a 1.9-litre diesel unit that is linked to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Talking about the color options, the new Isuzu MU-X is offered in a total of six color options namely Nautilus Blue, Red Spinal Mica, Silky White Pearl, Galena Grey, Black Mica, and Silver Metallic. Toyota Fortuner, on the other hand, gets a new Sparkling Black Crystal Shine shade. The existing color schemes include Phantom Brown, Super White, Attitude Black, Avante Garde Bronze, Grey Metallic, White Pearl Crystal Shine, and Silver Metallic. Lastly, MG Gloster comes in four shades - Agate Red, Metal Black, Metal Ash, and Warm White.
