The facelifted car is already on sale abroad, but recently spy pictures of the car being tested in India have surfaced. The updated MU-X is likely to get sport projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, subtle changes to the front bumper, new alloy wheels, LED elements inside the tail-lamps and a revised rear bumper.
The big changes will be to the cabin, the redesigned dashboard will now have a two-tone beige-and-black colour theme and will come with an artificial wood trim to lift the cabin’s appeal, as well as some soft-touch bits. The car will also have a new touchscreen infotainment system that will offer a range of features.
The car will most probably use the same 177hp 3.0-litre diesel with either two- or four-wheel drive mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
