Isuzu V-Cross

Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, a surprise hit in the Indian market has also gone on to claim the spot of the bestselling lifestyle pick-up truck in the country. Now the Japanese maker has launched a new limited-edition Z-Prestige variant of the V-Cross. What makes this variant so special is that it comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission that is paired to a 1.9L diesel engine. The price for this limited edition variant has been set at Rs. 19.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Talking of the all-new 1.9L engine that makes an appearance on the V-Cross Z-Prestige, it is a 4-pot unit that is rated to deliver 150 PS and 350 Nm. This engine has a far greater output than the current engine that comes with the normal version of V-Cross in the Indian market. The normal version of the V-Cross comes with a 2.5L diesel engine rated to deliver 135 PS and 320 Nm. Not to mention that the company claims that apart from a higher output rating the new engine has better mileage figures than the current 2.5L engine offered on normal V-Cross.

While the Z-Prestige has been launched in the Indian market in the guise of a limited-edition version, the same version is available in the global markets as the facelifted model the V-Cross. Talking of the Z-Prestige launched in the Indian market, the new version of V-Cross comes with a bold front grille and an updated headlamp setup which includes a bi-LED lamp. The side profile of the latest version of the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross includes new diamond-cut 18-inch alloy wheels that combined with the wheel arches of the pick-up give it a bolder look. The fog lamps at the front have been given chrome garnish. Also, the Z-Prestige trim gets a shark fin antenna on the roof. In order to increase the accessibility of the vehicle, Isuzu has revised the design of the side steps, apart from ease of access, these also help in bettering the looks of the pick-up. The exterior of the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross also looks extremely sophisticated, thanks to the blacked-out B-Pillar. At the rear, the latest version of V-Cross gets an all-LED tail lamp set-up, which adds the premium quotient to the vehicle.

Coming to the interiors of the limited edition Z-Prestige trim of V-Cross, one finds that the cabin now comes with perforated leather seats and piano black finish on the dashboard. A USB port has also been added for the rear cabin passengers and the safety features of the pick-up include PESS (Passive Entry & Start-Stop System), seatbelt with pre-tensioner and load limiter, speed-sensitive auto door lock, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, hill start assist, hill descent control, 6-airbags and Brake Override System.
