This is the same engine used in the Discovery Sport models sold worldwide.

The Discovery Sport SUV range in India will now come fitted with the new 2.0-litre ‘Ingenium’ engine. The 2.0-litre engine replaces the current 2.2-litre motor, which is now not used in any products by JLR India. The new engine is available with two power outputs – a 150hp version and a 180hp variant. Lower trims come equipped with the 150hp version, while only the top HSE Luxury trim gets the 180hp unit. The nine-speed automatic gearbox from the current model continues unchanged.
