Sources suggest that the Korean carmaker, Hyundai, is currently working on a performance model of the Tucson SUV. The upcoming sporty Tucson is expected to be named as an N division model.

The Tucson N will join the i30 N in international markets. Hyundai is looking to do so because of the ever-increasing demand for performance SUVs. The company has not yet announced the model or its arrival date as of yet. Currently, there are also no details on the upcoming car’s powertrain.

The car will be sold in the United States and other international markets where there is a rise in demand for performance SUVs. Rumours also suggest that Hyundai’s Kona SUV will join the N division line-up too. It is highly unlikely that Hyundai will introduce any of these N division models in India. Nonetheless, we recently got the 4WD variant of the Tucson and will see an all-electric Kona sometime in late 2018.

In India, Hyundai’s model line-up includes the Eon, Grand i10, i20, i20 Active, Xcent, Verna, Elantra, Creta and the Tucson.
