Hyundai India has launched a new 'Sport' trim of the Venue subcompact SUV at a starting price of Rs 10.20 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. The Sport trim will be available with the 1.0L T-GDi Kappa petrol engine and the 1.5L U2 CRDi diesel engine. In addition, the company has announced the pricing of Venue AMT which will be on offer with SX and SX(O) variants of the Sport trim and regular SX and SX (O) variants. Hyundai Venue Sport debuts a new dual-tone Titan Grey with Phantom Black Roof color scheme while a new S+ variant has been introduced with the 1.2L Kappa engine at Rs 8.31 Lakhs.
Hyundai Venue Sport SX+, which comes with the 1.0L T-GDi petrol engine and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, boasts of a sporty D-Cut steering with paddle shifters. Besides the Titan Grey/Phantom Black dual tone color, it will be available with a dual tone Polar White with Phantom Black Roof color option. The Sport trim gets red inserts on the front grille, roof rails and brake calipers. The red accents are visible inside the cabin as well on certain elements such as gear knob, steering wheel and door trims. Hyundai Venue 1.2L petrol S+ features projector headlamps & projector fog lamps, LED tail lamps and a 20.32 cm touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The BS6 compliant 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine delivers a top power of 118bhp at 6000rpm and peak torque of 172Nm between 1500-4000rpm. In the Sport trim, the engine can be availed with iMT (AMT) gearbox with SX and SX(O) variants while SX+ variant comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Hyundai’s iMT technology features a Transmission Gear Shift (TGS) Lever with Intention Sensor, Hydraulic Actuator and Transmission Control Unit (TCU). Coming to the diesel variants, they are powered by a BS6 compliant 1.5L U2 CRDi engine which develops maximum power of 98bhp at 4000rpm and highest torque of 240Nm between 1500-2750rpm. The engine is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
