Hyundai has sold 97400 units of the Venue in the Indian market while more than 7400 units have been exported.

Hyundai Venue sales has crossed the 1 Lakh units milestone since its launch last year in the Indian market. The company has sold 97400 units of the sub-compact SUV in the Indian market while more than 7400 units have been exported to international markets. It was the highest selling sub 4-meter SUV in the Indian market between January-May 2020 with over 24400 units sold. The South-Korean automaker further stated that over 30,000 customers opted for the variants with BlueLink Connected Technology.

The sub-compact SUV adorns Hyundai's “Sensuous Sportiness” design language with a dark chrome front grille. Hyundai Venue was the most awarded car of the year 2019-20 and the 1.0L T-GDi Kappa attributed to around 44 percent of the total sales. The company has already sold more than 15,000 units of the SUV with the 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine and 7-speed DCT auto gearbox in India. Hyundai Venue features include an in-built air purifier with HEPA filter, wireless phone charging, leather-wrapped steering wheel, rear AC vents, cooled glovebox, electric sunroof etc. to name a few. There are three BS6 compliant engine options available with the SUV - a 1.2L petrol engine, a 1.5L diesel engine and a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine.

The diesel variants with the BS6 compliant 1.5L U2 CRDi engine contributed to over 30 percent overall sales of the SUV during the period between March-June 2020. Commenting on the occasion, Mr. SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “Hyundai VENUE is India’s first Fully Connected SUV and most awarded Car of The Year 2019-20 setting a chord with New Age customers.
