Hyundai Venue sales has crossed the 1 Lakh units milestone since its launch last year in the Indian market. The company has sold 97400 units of the sub-compact SUV in the Indian market while more than 7400 units have been exported to international markets. It was the highest selling sub 4-meter SUV in the Indian market between January-May 2020 with over 24400 units sold. The South-Korean automaker further stated that over 30,000 customers opted for the variants with BlueLink Connected Technology.

The sub-compact SUV adorns Hyundai's “Sensuous Sportiness” design language with a dark chrome front grille. Hyundai Venue was the most awarded car of the year 2019-20 and the 1.0L T-GDi Kappa attributed to around 44 percent of the total sales. The company has already sold more than 15,000 units of the SUV with the 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine and 7-speed DCT auto gearbox in India. Hyundai Venue features include an in-built air purifier with HEPA filter, wireless phone charging, leather-wrapped steering wheel, rear AC vents, cooled glovebox, electric sunroof etc. to name a few. There are three BS6 compliant engine options available with the SUV - a 1.2L petrol engine, a 1.5L diesel engine and a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine.

The diesel variants with the BS6 compliant 1.5L U2 CRDi engine contributed to over 30 percent overall sales of the SUV during the period between March-June 2020. Commenting on the occasion, Mr. SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “Hyundai VENUE is India’s first Fully Connected SUV and most awarded Car of The Year 2019-20 setting a chord with New Age customers. Hyundai has been at the helm of innovation in the automotive industry, introducing revolutionary products and technologies that have established new benchmarks. With VENUE, we have pioneered Fully Connected technology for customers. Additionally, VENUE has paved the way to democratize Global Technologies such as Kappa 1.0 l T-GDi & 7-Speed DCT for Hyundai cars in India, offering customers’ excitement, delight and enhanced value.”
