The recent increase in the cess for midsize, large cars and SUVs has affected prices of Hyundai Cars by 2 and 5 percent, effective from September 11, 2017.
The Verna sees an increase by up to ₹29,090, depending on the variant and this price hike may affect Hyundai’s plans to sell 12,000 units of the midsize sedan before the upcoming festive season.
The Creta SUV’s price has gone up by ₹20,900 to ₹55,375, the Elantra executive sedan by ₹50,312 to ₹75,991, and the Tucson SUV by ₹64,828 to ₹84,867.
Hyundai’s small cars and compact sedans prices, however, remain the same. The only hatchback to see an increase is the petrol-automatic Elite i20, which now costs ₹12,547 more.
