Hyundai Aura bookings for an INR 10,000 token. Online and offline reservations can be made (Hyundai dealerships). It will launch on 21 January 2020.

In December last year, Hyundai Motor India unveiled the Aura compact sedan. Now their official reservations have started ahead of their launch scheduled for January 21, 2020. Interested customers can book the Aura for a token amount of INR 10,000 online or at a Hyundai dealership. Hyundai Aura is nothing but an elongated Grand i10 Nios. It shares with the hatchback its underpinning but has been given a longer top hat to give it a proper sedan role. The Hyundai Aura is the equivalent of the Xcent for the uninitiated.  But Aura's arrival doesn't mean Xcent is going to be removed from the shelves. The Xcent will be continued, but only available to the fleet operators with a ' Prime ' suffix. A strategy adopted by Maruti Suzuki for his sedan Dzire.

It seems that the Hyundai Aura is identical to the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and it's not difficult to understand why. But the similarities are limited to the outward fluidic dimensions, as their distinctions are illustrated thanks to the new bumper, the housing of the fog lamp and the revised radiator grille. The rear-fascia seems to have been influenced by the new Hyundai Sonata on the left.

In terms of interiors and features, the Hyundai Aura is expected to carry certain bits such as the Grand i10 Nios dashboard, switchgear, steering wheel and seats. It will also use verified apps such as advanced 8.0 Touch Screen Infotainment with Android Auto & Apple Car Play Connectivity, Arkamys Premium Sound System, 5.3 Electronic Tachometer with Multi-Information Display (MID) embedded, iBlue Audio remote smart Phone App, wireless charging, air Curtain, and more.

As far as the mechanics are concerned, three engine options will be used, namely 83 PS 1.2L natural aspirated gasoline, 75 PS 1.2L turbocharged diesel engine and 100 PS 1.0L turbocharged gasoline engine.

The Hyundai Aura will compete directly with Maruti Dzire, Tata Tigor, Ford Aspire and Honda Amaze.
