Hyundai Motor Company is all set to launch the Alcazar SUV later this month in the country. Ahead of its official launch, the color, variants, and mechanical details have been leaked online. As per the leaked document, the Alcazar SUV will be offered in a total of 6 trims - Signature, Signature (O), Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum, and Platinum (O). These will be further divided into 17 variants depending on the seating options and engine & gearbox combinations.
The base Signature trim will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. However, it will be offered with only a 6-seater option along with a manual gearbox. While the Hyundai Alcazar Signature (O) trim, it will be offered with an automatic gearbox. Moving on to the mid-spec Prestige trim, it will come with both 6- and 7-seater options. Mechanically, it will be offered in both petrol and diesel engines but only in manual gearbox. The Alcazar Prestige(O), on the other hand, will be offered with an automatic gearbox. The top-end Platinum trim is 7-seater only. Furthermore, it will come with a manual gearbox in both petrol & diesel engine options. However, Platinum(O) will come as a 6-seater SUV with an automatic gearbox only.
Performance-wise, the Alcazar will be offered with a choice of petrol and diesel engine. The petrol variants will get an updated version of the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder unit as seen on Elantra and Tucson. While the diesel trims will come with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged unit that is present on Creta. Transmission options for both engines include manual and automatic gearbox. Furthermore, the SUV will offer three drive modes - Eco, City, & Sport.
The upcoming Alcazar will be offered in six exterior color schemes - Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Taiga Brown, Starry Night, Polar White, and Phantom Black, and a single interior shade namely Cognac Brown.
