Honda WR V Facelift

Honda Cars India is all set to launch the Facelifted version of the new BS6 WR-V tomorrow. The company had teased the upcoming crossover in India a few months back. Furthermore, the 2020 WR-V Facelift is also available for bookings in the country for a while now. Once launched, it will compete against the likes of Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Vitara Brezza, and Hyundai Venue that fall in the same price range. It is being assumed that the BS6 WR-V Facelift will not be priced above its BS4 counterpart. Most likely, the starting price of this vehicle will be around Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

The upcoming WR-V Facelift will get new LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs. It also gets a three-dimensional horizontally slated grille with the signature thick chrome slat on the top. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned. The rear end will feature LED tail lights with diffused C-shaped light guides. On the sides, it  will get a new set of alloy wheels.

As for the interior features, the BS6 Honda WR-V Facelift is likely to retain most of the features from its BS4 counterpart. Apart from this, the new crossover is also expected to come equipped with a plethora of features. These will comprise of a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic AC, semi-digital instrument panel, push-button start/stop, key-less entry, panoramic sunroof, and automatic climate control. It is also likely to get electrically adjustable and folding mirrors, cruise control, and parking sensors.

Under the hood, BS6 Honda WR-V Facelift will be offered with two engine options. A 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol motor that will produce 88 bhp power and 110 Nm torque. The engine will be linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There will also be a 1.5-litre diesel unit on offer producing a maximum power output of  98 bhp with 200 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The petrol variant is likely to offer an ARAI claimed mileage of 16.5 kmpl. While the diesel variant is expected to have a fuel efficiency of 23.7 kmpl, ARAI certified.
