We will be getting the facelifted version of the Civic sold abroad and the changes to the 2019 Civic's exterior are subtle. There's now a front ‘wing’ finished in piano black instead of the chrome bar we saw on the pre-facelift Civic. It also features a reworked, more angular front bumper with chrome accents for the fog lamp housings, a chrome strip for the rear bumper and new alloy wheels. The car also comes with a new ‘Sport’ trim on offer internationally.
On the inside, the car gets an updated seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Honda's Sensing suite of safety features, which includes a collision warning and mitigation system with automatic braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and a lot more are now available on the Civic.
The facelifted Civic here could be powered by a 1.8-litre, 140hp petrol engine, along with the 1.6-litre Earth Dreams diesel engine, making 120hp and 300Nm. The engines will be paired to a nine-speed automatic gearbox, just like the CR-V.
The car will go on sale in the first half of 2019 with a price-tag between Rs 16-20 lakh.
