Honda hunts for next-gen racing talent in Delhi NCR.

IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Hunt has arrived to north region of India, Delhi & NCR. The IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Hunt is Honda’s initiative that aims to identify young racers starting as early as 13 years of age. Through this platform, Honda 2Wheelers India will groom the best of young riders from Delhi and NCR for a racing career spanning national and international championships.

After the last four rounds in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Aizawl, round 5 of the Hunt saw participation of 19 youngsters with the youngest being only of 15 years of age. The candidates had to go through 3 levels of tests. First being their physical fitness, second their race orientation and riding skills especially for the race track. This was followed by a Jury interview wherein the candidates and their guardians were interviewed to understand both their motorsport passion and family support to making this a career.

After shortlisting in phase 1, the top candidates of the Talent Hunt of Delhi & NCR will be trained and given opportunity to ride on the track in Phase II. These final riders will then join the 12 selected riders to race in the Honda Talent Cup CBR 150R category in the 2019 season. After this leg, Honda’s Talent Hunt will travel more cities across India to identify India’s next big racing sensations.

Ltd. said, “The IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Hunt is a part of our new motorsports direction and building a structure to develop young talent in the country. We are proud to say that the fresh talent which we have got from last four rounds have given phenomenal performance in Honda Talent Cup 2018. Committed towards developing an iconic India rider, we are constantly providing them exposure and necessary training and I am confident that these budding riders will change the scenario of motorsports in India and make the nation proud at the international podiums as well."
