Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is all set to launch an all new motorcycle, likely to be called ‘Highness’, tomorrow in India. Not many details have been revealed about the bike yet. The company had released a teaser video on various social media channels a few days back. The new Honda cruiser bike has been named ‘ Highness’, as Honda had filed a trademark for that name. Also, the brand had sent a launch invite wherein the company had highlighted ‘ Your Highness is Arriving’. This further confirms the new name.

Honda Highness

The 2020 Honda Highness will be based on the Rebel 300 which is sold in the International markets currently. In terms of design, the new motorcycle will look like a cruiser with a laid back riding position. Other design highlights to expect are a round headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank with a fully digital instrument cluster. The motorcycle might get chrome inserts which will give it a retro look. We can expect the company to launch a blacked-out variant as well. Honda has tried to create a motorcycle that matches the Indian taste. Furthermore, the Highness will also get alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. We can also expect ABS along with a disc brake setup.

Mechanically, the new Honda Highness is likely to draw power from a 300-350 cc four-stroke engine. The Highness will rival the likes of Royal Enfield, Jawa, and Benelli. As for the price, we can expect the cost to be around Rs 2.50-3.00 Lakhs (ex-showroom). This new model will be available through Honda’s Big Wing outlets instead of every dealership. At present, Honda has around 25 Big Wing Outlets across the country.
