Modified Honda Civic Sedan Front Profile

It was after a long period of seven years that the Japanese carmaker decided to bring the tenth generation of the Civic sedan to India. The last time that Civic was sold in India it was not so popular and sold around half a lakh unit in India before it was discontinued by the brand. That was the eighth generation Civic and therefore Honda did not bring the ninth generation Civic to India.

Although the demand for the 8th generation Honda Civic was quite low, one can still find many examples of the same on Indian roads, perhaps as a mark of the longevity of Honda cars. The newly launched current generation features a lot of changes when compared to the previous model in Indian market. Not to mention that modification lovers also hold some interest in cars and have worked on the Civic as well. Presenting a previous generation Honda Civic with enough modification changes on the sedan that gives it the look of a latest generation Honda Civic Type-R. Do note that the Japanese brand does not sell the Type R version of car in the Indian market.

This job witnesses a lot of changes on the older Civic sedan. However, they do come together to give the older model a look very close to the current generation of the Honda sedan. Look at the front of the car and one finds that the addition of a new bumper with a splitter, hood scoop, new grille, and LED headlamps give the front of the car a totally distinct look.

The changes are not limited to the front, but make their appearance on the rear as well. The tail lamps of the stock car have been replaced and now there is a concave shaped LED tail lamp present on the rear. A big spoiler is also present on the boot of the Civic. As with the front, the rear too gets a new bumper that has a splitter in it. The 8th gen Civic was a pretty long car that had a very distinct front and back with the roofline giving the car a proper sedan look. However, the modified version has a more backset roofline giving it a more sportier coupe-ish looks with better aerodynamics.

The company has announced that Honda Civic sedan has gone a step further and achieved 2,400 bookings in just a month and few days after the car’s bookings officially opened. . With an option for petrol and diesel engines, the petrol motor in Honda’s new executive sedan is a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder unit rated for 139 Bhp and 174 Nm. While the diesel unit is a 1.6-litre mill rated for 118 Bhp and 300 Nm. Honda Civic will lock horns with Skoda Octavia, Toyota Corolla Altis, and Hyundai Elantra in the market. The new model of Honda Civic is also banking on the enthusiastic following of the older models of this car in India.
