The bike will go on sale across India in a phased manner.

The new Xtreme 200R is priced at Rs 89,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and country-wide sales will start soon. The Xtreme 200R was only available in select north-eastern states earlier and was priced at Rs 88,000 in Assam, Mizoram, Tripura and West Bengal.

The bike's price is competitive, especially when you compare it to rivals like the TVS RTR 200 4V (Rs 96,730 to Rs 1.10 lakh) and the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 (Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.12 lakh). Hero says it isn’t looking at competing with the bikes in the 200cc segment but is instead focusing on the premium 160cc and 180cc machines.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 costs Rs 82,624, while the new RTR 160 4V variants are priced between Rs 82,535 to Rs 91,535 (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi) and sales of these machines are the ones Hero is targeting.
