Hero Motorcorp Discontinues Hero Pleasure

The first-gen Hero Pleasure debuted in the Indian market as Hero Honda Pleasure in 2006. After being in production for nearly 14 years, the scooter has been discontinued. The company has replaced it with an updated and slightly powerful Pleasure Plus which was introduced last year. It comes with a 110.9 cc engine which is also found in the Duet and standard Maestro Edge. The engine churns out 8.1 bhp power and 8.7Nm of torque..

The first-generation Pleasure was powered by a 102 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with an overhead camshaft that churned out 6.7 bhp power at 7,000 rpm and around 7.85 Nm torque at 5,000 rpm.

Earlier, when the first-gen Pleasure was introduced in the domestic market, the highlighted features included a handle-mounted headlamp, front apron-mounted large turn signals, smooth and curvy body panels, and a large comfortable seat. Then in 2014, it received several cosmetic updates. It got Hero's Braking Integrated System.

In 2017, the Hero Pleasure was updated to comply with the BS4 emission norms. The company equipped it with a few additional features such as Auto Headlamp On (AHO), mobile charging socket and boot light. The scooter was also available in a few dual-tone colour options.

It was competing against the likes of TVS Scooty Pep, Kinetic Zing, and Bajaj Spirit. With the introduction of BS6 emission norms, Hero Motorcorp has decided to bid goodbye to the First-Generation Hero Pleasure’s 102 cc engine.
