It is raining discounts as Hero Motocorp rolls out offers on its product line-up

The year-end discounts and benefits seem to be increasing day by day, as the latest manufacturer to join the bandwagon is Hero MotoCorp. Hero Xtreme 200S, Xtreme 160R, Xpulse 200 are available with a special offer worth Rs 4,000. In a push to drive sales, the buyer can avail the special offer consisting of exchange and loyal benefits. BS6 compliant Hero Xtreme 200S was launched last month at a starting price of Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom), Delhi.

With the new offer, Xtreme 200S is quite affordable than its nearest rival Pulsar Rs 200 which retails at a starting price of Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom), Delhi. Also, pricing wise, Xtreme 200S is cheaper than TVS Apache RTR 200 4V (Rs 1.25 lakh) and Honda Hornet 2.0 (Rs 1.26 lakh), ex-showroom. Dealerships are offering Rs 2,100 cash discount on Hero Glamour. Also, there is loyalty and exchange benefit of Rs 2,100 on Super Splendor, Maestro 125, Destini 125, Maestro 110 and Passion Pro.

The new BS6 Hero Xtreme 200S is priced at a premium of Rs 17,000 in comparison to the older BS4 bike. The increase in price can be attributed to the new oil-cooled engine. The new 4-stroke, single-cylinder OHC engine belts out 18 bhp of maximum power output and 16.45 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. Also, the xSens powered engine is packed with 14 sensors to deliver optimum power performance. The manufacturer added a cooling feature in the engine to reduce heat dissipation. Suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock suspension towards the rear.  The new Xtreme 200S comes with a dual-disc set-up with ABS as standard.

Hero Xtreme 200S comes with colour options namely Sports Red, Panther Black and Pearl Silver White. It offers a new dual-LED headlamp, fully digital instrumental console, and sportier exhaust. The motorcycle comes equipped with segment-first features like smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Plus, the rider will be alerted in case of incoming calls.
