Hero launches XPulse, Xpulse 200T in India.

Hero XPulse has been launched in India. Ever since being displayed at the Auto Expo last year, the public was anticipating the bike’s launch and now it has finally hit the market.  With the launch, XPulse has occupied the spot of the most affordable ADV in the Indian market. The prices for the fuel injected version of XPulse is Rs. 1.05 lakh and the carburetor version is priced at Rs. 97,000 while the 200T versio is priced at Rs. 94,000, all prices are ex-showroom.

As already stated the XPulse comes in three different variants in the market and the most affordable of the lot if the Hero XPulse 200T. While the XPulse is the off-road focused model of the bike that comes with spoked rims, high-mounted exhaust, high-mounted front mudguard, engine bash plate and knuckle guards as standard. The aforementioned Hero XPulse 200T is the more affordable variant that misses out on the off-road spec features and is targeted at touring enthusiasts. The presence of on-road tyres and the normal positioning of the exhaust hints makes it on-road friendly. As far as the mechanics are concerned, the two bikes are no different and share all the cycle parts as well as features among them.

Talking of the suspension of the XPulse, the front suspension comes with a travel of 190 mm and the rear suspension has a travel of 170mm, the XPulse 200T also comes with the same suspension setup. On the features front, the two bikes come with a smilar digital instrument console that offers Bluetooth pairing facility and also has features like the ability to display caller’s name, navigation directions and message alerts on the screen. The bikes also feature a charging port for phones, another feature that will please the touring enthusiasts.

As already mentioned, the two bikes share the same mechanicals and come with a 199.6 cc single cylinder engine rated to deliver 18.4 PS and 17.1 Nm. The bikes come with the same engine that is also offered on the naked street Xtreme 200R. The chassis of the 3 bikes are also the same. The company also offers fuel injection in the XPulse. The engine of the two bikes comes paired with a 5 speed gearbox. Hero XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T come with all LED headlamp and tail lamps. The instrument cluster of the new Hero bikes is also quite advanced and shows a lot of information such as service alert, navigation status, gear positon and call alerts. The braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both the wheels and single-channel ABS as standard.

The XPulse 200T is available in 4 shades and the XPulse comes in 5 shades, two for the carbueretted model and 3 for the fuel injected model. The bookings for the Hero XPulse 200 and the XPulse 200T are already underway.
