Gaku Nakanishi has been appointed as the new president and CEO of Honda Cars India, effective today. He earlier served as president and CEO of Honda Automobile Thailand. For nearly 30 years he has worked with Honda in markets like North America, Mexico, Japan, Thailand, CIS, Middle East and Africa. There are a few more changes at the senior level too.
Rajesh Goel, who has been with Honda Cars India for over 22 years, is now senior vice-president and director (Sales and Marketing). Makoto Hyoda, who has been a part of the company for 22 years, is now the company’s director for sales and marketing, which he has been elevated to from his earlier role as Operating Head.
The company sold 1,70,026 units in FY2018, which sees it record a year-on-year growth of 8.08 percent.
