The company introduced sports editions of its hatch and compact sedan.

Ford recently launched sports editions of the Figo hatchback and the Aspire compact sedan, called the Ford Figo S and the Ford Aspire S, respectively. The cars come with a stream of spunky changes such as wider wheels and a stellar black paint job. Additionally, both models are only available in the ‘Titanium’ trim, so they come loaded with goodies.

“Fresh, dynamic, spirited and sporty, the new Sports Editions of Figo and Aspire are all set to take customers on an exhilarating ride and deliver the real fun-of-driving,” said Anurag Mehrotra, executive director, Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford India.

Ex-showroom, Delhi prices for diesel and petrol variants are as follows:

• Ford Figo S 1.2 petrol: ₹6.32 lakh

• Ford Figo S 1.5 diesel: ₹7.21 lakh

• Ford Aspire S 1.2 petrol: ₹6.51 lakh

• Ford Aspire S 1.5 diesel: ₹7.60 lakh

The Figo S will now come with 15-inch alloys with 195/55-section tyres, smoked headlamps, blacked-out honeycomb grille, decals, a blacked-out roof, two-tone paint shade and special decals on the exterior. Ford has been generous with other facilities in the Figo S such as ABS with EBD, front, side and curtain airbags, automatic climate control, SYNC infotainment system with voice controls and electrically adjustable and foldable outside mirrors.

The Aspire has been reworked on similar lines but with the same grille as the current generation Aspire. Both cars get an all-black interior, with a touch of contrast stitching.

Power
The Figo S and the Aspire S come with the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine producing 100hp and 215Nm of torque, and the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine churning 88hp and 112Nm of torque, both mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
