Ford Endeavour Sport edition gets new black exterior elements; likely to be launched soon

Ford India gave a BS6 update to the Endeavour at the beginning of this year. Now, the company is planning to launch the Sport Edition of the SUV in the Indian market. Ford Endeavour Sport Edition is basically the ‘Dark Edition’ of the regular SUV and it has been spied testing on roads on multiple occasions in the past. Recently, it was spotted at a dealership yard and new images of the SUV have surfaced online.

According to the spy shots, the SUV will get a new gloss black honeycomb grille pattern along with matching black elements for the bumper upfront. The LED headlamps and the fog lamps remain unchanged. At the sides, the SUV gets side steps and new matte black ORVMs with integrated turn signals. The Sport edition rides on the newly designed glossy black alloy wheels. The rear end will boast of a glossy black slat with the ‘Endeavour’ lettering on it. This further connects the two tail-lamps. There is a new ‘Sport’ badging mounted on the tailgate. The rear bumper gets a new end-to-end black insert. There is also a ‘Sport’ badge on the bottom part of the rear doors.

Talking about the interior features, then most of the features will remain identical to the regular Ford Endeavour. However, there will be minor updates. The Sport edition will get a set of new upholstery with the ‘Sport’ badging and new metal scuff plates with Sport lettering on it.

Under the bonnet, the upcoming Endeavour Sport edition will continue to draw its power from 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine that generates 168 bhp power and 420 Nm torque. The engine will come mated to Ford’s 10-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
